Linda Heiss LLC is the business owner and provider/coordinator of the cooking parties. These Terms & Conditions apply to anyone participating in a cooking party.
Attire
Class participants are required to wear close-toed shoes. It is recommended that shoes also be rubber soled and/or non-slip. Long hair must be tied back. A participant may not wear obstructive or loose jewelry, including but not limited to, dangling earrings, bracelets, and/or necklaces. Fingernail polish and artificial fingernails may cause dangerous conditions for the participant; hair clips or bands for long hair should be worn. If the participant wears prohibited products, they are doing so at their own risk.
Cancellation and Refunds
We understand life gets crazy and sometimes parties need to get cancelled. Should you need to cancel within 48 hours, we will work with you reschedule for a better date. For cancellations made within three weeks of the party, where we are unable to find an alternative date, a 30% “cost of preparation” fee (based on total fee paid) will be held back from the refund.
Circumstances Beyond the Control of Linda Heiss LLC
Should Linda Heiss LLC be unable to provide for your class or function due to circumstances beyond the control of Linda Heiss LLC, we are not responsible for any costs, damages or expenses that you may suffer or incur.
Confidentiality
Linda Heiss LLC shall strive to preserve the confidentiality of any information you provide to Linda Heiss LLC, and will not sell or give your information to any third party.
Damage/Loss of Personal Property
Linda Heiss LLC will take all necessary care, but accepts no responsibility for the damage to or loss of personal belongings at the venue prior to, during or after a class. Linda Heiss LLC is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items in any form.
Equipment
For the cooking classes, Linda Heiss LLC will utilize the clients kitchen, kitchen equipment, appliances, and tools. Linda Heiss LLC will provide knives, cutting boards, aprons, kitchen towels and specialty equipment based on the menu.
Medical Conditions or Food Allergies
You are responsible for: (i) informing Linda Heiss LLC if you have any medical and/or food allergies; and (ii) avoiding any contact with such medical and/or food allergies. Linda Heiss LLC may attempt, but cannot guarantee, to accommodate your allergies. It is your responsibility to prevent allergic reactions.
Menu and Grocery Shopping
A customized menu will be created by Linda Heiss LLC for each cooking class, with final approval by the client.
Linda Heiss LLC will create the grocery list for each class, and pass it along to the client, who will do the food shopping. If a special or last-minute ingredient is needed, Linda Heiss LLC will bring along anything additional. There is an option to have Linda Heiss LLC organize a grocery delivery service deliver to your home the day of the party for a small fee.
Recipes
At the end of the class, recipes will be given to participants for the food items produced. Linda Heiss LLC hopes you will use these recipes for personal use. However, these recipes are and remain the intellectual property of Linda Heiss LLC.
You may not use Linda Heiss LLC’s recipes for any commercial use. Linda Heiss LLC reserves the right to take judicial action to prevent any unauthorized use of Linda Heiss LLC’s recipes.
Release of Liability
When participating in a Linda Heiss LLC cooking class, whereby the student/participant will be around or using sharp and potentially dangerous tools suitable for a kitchen environment, the student releases, indemnifies and excludes Linda Heiss and Linda Heiss LLC from any and all liability of any kind for any damage or injury incurred while attending a class. The participant understands these terms and conditions and accepts the inherent risks of a kitchen environment when they make a full payment for a scheduled class.
Payment Policy
Payment in full is required at the time of cooking class confirmation.
Right to Refuse
Linda Heiss LLC holds the right to refuse an individual to attend a class if the instructor feels they may distract from the experience of the scheduled class.
Photos and Video
Linda Heiss LLC holds the right to take photos and videos of the parties for promotional materials unless specifically asked not to.
